Vinegar and Your Laundry

Vinegar and Your Laundry

Laundry won’t clean itself, and there are so many detergents, fabric softeners, and dryer sheets out there. Picking the right products can make laundry more of a chore, not to mention expensive. Switch some of these expensive products with one valuable item that you most likely already have in your kitchen pantry: vinegar.

Vinegar

Adding about 1/2 a cup of white vinegar to your rinse cycle can improve your laundry in many ways. These are only our top five:

- whiten your whites.

- cut back static cling.

- naturally soften laundry, excellent replacement for fabric softener.

- stop colours from running, preserve the blue dye in your jeans.

- remove persisting odors such as cigarette smoke and the moldy towel smell

If you love having a little scent added to your wash, then simply drop in a few drops

of lavender essential oil. It is naturally antiseptic and creates a really nice and very subtle

smell.
